Red Eye Rap Up was a segment that appeared on Red Eye only once, on April 21, 2011. In this segment, two rap songs with liberal messages were played and then made fun of. One featured Code Pink rapping about a security firm, complete with music video, likening them to mercenaries. The other came courtesy of the Environmental Protection Agency and was about climate change. Michigan Congressman Thaddeus McCotter -- who also is a musician -- had the following to say:
I found those two particular pieces to be rather discordant dung. And I would think that if the liberals claim to be the artsy, creative people, they might want to have those pulled before people are disabused of that notion.
